How often should a boiler be serviced?
Once a year. Most manufacturers ask for it to keep the warranty valid, and it's the simplest way to catch a worn part before it lets you down in January.
What's the difference between a standard and a strip-down service?
A standard service covers the routine safety and performance checks. A strip-down goes further: parts are taken apart, inspected and cleaned where needed. Mike will tell you which one your boiler actually needs.
Does a service mean my boiler won't break down?
No one can promise that, but a service flags problems early, and most breakdowns Mike sees are on boilers that haven't been looked at for years.
Is Mike Gas Safe registered?
Yes. Gas Safe registration number 971320. Gas work must always be done by a registered engineer, so ask to see the card. Mike's happy to show it.
